Mailing Address

Keep Your Mailing Address Current with the County

When Bear Paw sends out a mailing it is sent to the address on file with Cherokee County Tax Collection Department as the property owner's mailing address.

We will be sending some important information by mail in the coming weeks and want to be sure everyone gets this information.

Please keep your tax mailing address current. You can contact Cherokee County to have them update your mailing address.

Address Changes

Please notify the tax office when a change in your mailing address occurs. You may send address changes to the email address. Please provide an account or parcel number along with the correct mailing address.

Dear Bear Paw Property Owners and Residents,

The Board and I send a heartfelt “Thank You” to the Bear Paw residents and property owners for coming together to raise the funds needed for the pool repairs. A contractor has been selected—Master Pools, Inc. of Atlanta—to perform the work. Weather permitting, we are hopeful that work will begin in the very near future.

This project would not have been possible without your support. While Bear Paw, like any community, has different viewpoints and opinions, it has been truly encouraging to see everyone come together to make the pool repairs happen.

Here’s a summary of the major repairs being made:

Pressure Test all lines to find any leaks that exist so they can be repaired
Remove and Replace all Tile on the pool (waterline tiles inside pool and tile on stairs)
Replace broken Skimmers (2) and broaden the inlet from the pool for all skimmers to increase the flow of water into the skimmers
Update drain covers inside the pool (this must be done periodically to remain compliant with State requirements)
Replace all pumproom equipment with new and improved components (pumps, filters, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
Repair pool coping (concrete around the edge of the pool) and apply Sundek material on the concrete decking
Replaster the interior of the pool and fix any cracks

We could potentially install a pool cover for the off season if we raise the money (estimated to be $15,000) to cover the expense. Currently, a pool cover is not included in the project.

In addition to the pool project, there are several other initiatives underway throughout Bear Paw.

The Bear Paw Service District is working on implementing improved access control for the Bear Paw entry gates, as well as the pool, clubhouse, bathrooms, tennis courts, and all other lockable assets and amenities.
We are also addressing ditch and culvert maintenance, ongoing dirt and gravel road issues, and village road restriping, Work is underway inside the clubhouse to update the space and make it more usable for future community events.

There is a lot happening in Bear Paw. While progress can be slow, please know we are working as hard as possible to move these projects forward and improve our community.
